The Journal of Mythic Arts has today posted a nice compendium of contemporary Red Ridinghood poetry. Goes along nicely with our ongoing discussion of visual Red Ridinghood variations in The Path forum.

fantastic how the fairy tale still remains supreme. The minimalism of the fairy tale leaves them so opening, begging the reader into the art form. This was the same thought Guillermo del Torro had when making Pan’s Labyrinth. “We fear simplicity,” del Torro says, and compares the characters in his movie to Red Riding Hood and the wolf.
I think we might be moving in this direction, at least for a little while.
