According to Michal, Within a Deep Forest is the best indy art game of the moment, followed by yours truly’s The Endless Forest. Flow is only third because it doesn’t have a forest. But 12. Rainy Day and 14. Seiklus also seem to involve trees of some kind.

Hey there ^_^. Thank you for posting on this. I am still enjoying The Forest!
TEF is considered Indie art? lol
I’ve some problems with that list, as I wrote about in the comments here: http://indygamer.blogspot.com/2007/08/art-games-best-indy-titles.html#comments — but I shouldn’t really complain unless I can make my own better list. Maybe I’ll do that.
That’s great news! I love trees so so much, and there are a ton of forest-y games I want to make, so I’m glad to hear they will be a success! :p
The list does bother me a bit, and all this talk and controversy between proponents serious games and casual games and hardcore games is starting to get irritating. I think I really need to step away and just make some games.
Within a Deep Forest does have some amazing atmosphere, but I found it a bit too difficult for my taste and prefer Knytt’s more free-form exploration. But the sound and color design is really great in both those games.

I think you’ve got some spam here. Might want to remove it.
