Please download and install a beta-test version 3.4 of The Endless Forest here. And post any (new) bugs that you find in this thread.

WARNING! This is a test-version of the game that may contain bugs that cause unpleasant things. So use it at your own risk.

The biggest change in this version is that the appearance of your deer is now tied to your account and saved on the server. This means that you will lose all your antlers, masks, pelts and body shapes the first time you play this version.

There's new buttons in the Network Menu to SAVE and LOAD your appearance. But it is also loaded automatically on log-in and saved on exit (not on log-out!). Keep in mind that only the current antlers, mask, pelt and body will be saved (and loaded). The "stack" you accumulate during gameplay is not saved anymore.
(we may add functionality to save multiple appearances later, but we want to get this simple version working first: one set of antlers, mask, pelt and body shape per account)

I'm looking forwards to this at last! People who gain skull masks from Halloween will be able to show they've been dedicated and patient rather than sneaking about in the files!

I'll be sure to download and test this later. Thanks ToT! <3

This pops up before I open the forest. All I do is press okay and it continues.

When TEF is on the background, not all sounds play; just the sounds deer avatars make and the background bird songs and the like. I can't hear the rain or all the background sounds.

~ Very Happy

More!
Dance music is under no sound catagory and starts and ends very abruptedly. It also sounds like many many deer dancing even if you're alone.

I use Windows 7. ^^

OK, here are my findings so far...

Windows XP and a clean install of TEF. (Uninstalled previous version)

As you have mentioned already, collected spells aren't "stacked"

Save/Load current appearance works = Yes (Saved set does not always load the first time, occasionally requiring two loads)

Saves collected Pelt spell = No
Saves collected Antler spell = No
Saves collected Mask spell = No
Saves collected Frog spell = No

After logging out then logging back in, has previous set loaded = Yes

After sneezing everything off, quitting TEF, then logging back in, previous set is loaded = No (This means that your set is saved OK when logging out)

Can see other players spell effects now = Yes

Cannot Save/Load whilst inside the De Drinkplaats = True

Really? Just in the normal way? After eating mushrooms etc?

If you mean the spell you cast on other players, this is correct. This is not saved anymore.

You can't control Dance music through the sound settings, none of the three sliders control it. O:

Could you try a clean install?
(run the uninstaller and then remove the folder before you install)

The only problem I've encountered so far is the sound of the rain hitting the water (pond) seems to cut off abruptly rather than fading. And it's very loud in comparison to the other forest noises.

EDIT: It seems all Ambient noises are being really loud and drowning out other sounds. The volume controls to change this are not working either. Moving away far enough makes the noise stop but then it doesn't resume when I move back.

Also, I'm having a similar issue with the dancing music starting and cutting off very abruptly as well. It also is very loud and then goes very quiet when other deer join in.

It still seems to persist I'm afraid.
