Whenever I try to return to gameplay after bringing up the menu (to look at the basket, for example) the menu disappears and the screen returns to its normal coloring, but the shaky kind of background animation that happens while the menu is up continues, and I can't move my girl at all. This happens every time I bring up the menu, no matter how long it is open or what tabs I click. Even restarting and returning to the red room does not solve this glitch-- the flickering screen continues and I can't select any of the girls. I have to exit the game entirely and restart it that way to be able to control the game again. While I suppose I don't really need to, it would be nice to be able to see my basket to check what items I've found and then go back to playing. |

The flickering screen means that the game is paused. Does entering and exiting the menu again fix the problem?
The basket can also be accessed by holding down the space bar. |

Unfortunately, no. No matter how many times I enter and exit the menu, it remains paused like that after I've done it once. |

Do you have a joystick connected to the machine? Or a drawing tablet? Something that may be sending unwanted input to the computer somehow?? |

Hi,
I'm having the same problem than the lady MissLorelei... I purchased the game from STEAM if it can help. Is there something of an update for this kind of problem? It is very unpleasant getting this kind of bug because you have to return to the menu (where all the girls are) and you loose everything that has be done...
thanks for providing us a solution for this inconvenient bug

Please help us fix this problem by posting as much information as you can.
Post the specfications of your computer (CPU, RAM, videocard, OS).
And post your framerate (run Fraps to see it on screen). |

Thanks for the specifications.
Now, please, could you describe, step by step, what you do and how the game responds?
(include how you access the menu; do you press ESC or ENTER to leave the menu, or right click, or do you click on the "resume" button, etc.)
Does the same thing happen for the basket when you hold down and release the SPACE bar? |

I know this original post is kind of old, but I am having the exact same issue. (Screen gets stuck/flickering etc every time I press ESC or the space bar to look at the Basket contents.)
I too am playing the Steam version and do not find a fix/update for this anywhere. It is very frustrating to have to quit the game and restart it again every single time I want to see in the basket.
Help?!
(Edit) I am able to "Restart the Game" and go back to the house, but when I click on a girl to play, it shows the bread go into the basket, plays the music and then gets stuck, nothing else happens. |

Sounds like a videocard problem. Which card do you have? And did you install the latest drivers? |
