For Foreign - Pan's Labyrinth

Is that a genre? O.O

(I just thought up a whole bunch of arguments for/against "foreign" being a genre. XD BUT YOU GIVE YOUR OPINION FIRST.)

For foreign I meant a movie in a language I don't speak. Razz

Foreign should also mean that it didn't come from where you came from Wink

Yeah, because I wouldn't count that as a genre. I think that genre is content, and language is just...presentation.

Films are always the hardest for me to compile, but...

Drive, Hiroshima Mon Amour, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Inglourious Basterds, A Night at the Roxbury, Russian Ark, Blade Runner, The 400 Blows, The Seventh Seal, Vertigo, Possession ('81), The Big Sleep, The Mummy/The Mummy Returns, Rabbits by David Lynch, and American Psycho should paint quite a picture of what I generally enjoy. There are far more than that, of course, but keeping a list short and sweet is key.

(The Coppolas, Wes Anderson, Godard, Hitchcock, Truffaut, Lynch, and Tarantino are my go-to directors ― as I am sure you can gather. If Chris Carter continued to direct more films, he would be a selection too.)

As for music, lately I am listening to a lot of Phantogram, Crystal Castles, Grimes, Cashmere Cat, some of the witch house genre on bandcamp, but a few of my favorites would have to include Metric/Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton, Hot Chip, Zola Jesus, Stars, David Bowie, Cut Copy, Goldfrapp, How to Destroy Angels...

Games are a bit tougher for me to list; the MGS series and the Parasite Eve series (minus The 3rd Birthday) will always be cherished to me. Phantasmagoria series, The X-Files Game (the very first one), Botanicula, Uncharted series, Space Funeral are ones I tend to visit more than once. Especially the latter.

(It also goes without saying: anything and everything ToT makes.)

Favorite Television Shows: Twin Peaks, Mad Men, The X-Files, LOST, Pretty Little Liars, Speed Grapher, Red Garden, Happy Endings, Once Upon a Time, The Big O, Arrested Development.

Books: Oh no, this is the worst.

Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh is my absolute favorite novel, if I had to read a book for the rest of my life it would be this one.
Lolita, Pale Fire, The Luzhin Defense, Ada or Ardor: A Family Chronicle by Vladimir Nabokov.
Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald. All of his work is a treat to read, but this one is my absolute favorite. As for his short stories: Bernice Bobs Her Hair.
The Damned and The Wendigo by Algernon Blackwood.
Kafka on the Shore, Sputnik Sweetheart, Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami.
H.P. Lovecraft has far too many to list, but his complete works are fun to chip through. Same with Ray Bradbury.
    The Stranger by Albert Camus.
    Nausea by Jean-Paul Sartre.

It goes on and on.

I'm a hard core first person gamer but if I had to recommend a new out of the box game for anyone it would be MADDEN 2013. Simply the best sports game every. The infinite search engine rocks. I feel like I'm laying the hits myself, especially when the bass comes through the subwoofer. Try it.
