| I was wondering if there was a way to turn off my mouse movement? My optical mouse gets buggy sometimes and I end up running all over the place. |

I'm afraid there is no way in the game at the moment. But if you explain exactly what should be turned off, we could add it in a next release.
Does this problem occur when you're not using the mouse?
What exactly happens?
(I have seen an "issue" caused by the feature that allows you to move the mouse for direction while controlling the deer with the cursor keys. The issue is that there's too much of a lag when the deer stands still and you end up turning your deer when you don't want to.) |

That is the issue I am having exactly. The trouble I have with it mainly occurs while wanting to take actions. I'll try to find my mouse while running around so that I may take an action and this makes my deer change directions. The same thing occurs while moving the mouse around on the action strip.
Maybe the mouse direction could be turned off while the mouse rests on the action strip? |

We will definitely try and fix this somehow for a future release.
For now, I'm afraid you'll need to wait a bit before moving the mouse (after controlling the deer with the cursor keys). The effect wears off after a second or two.
Or just control the deer with the mouse (click and drag is very convenient). Then this "error" does not occur. |

| Waiting the few seconds does solve the issue and looks like what I'll have to do. I use the cursor keys becuase it gives me the feeling off more controling the deer's actions rather than the feeling of just guiding them with the mouse. |

The joystick does that as well.
We like the ambiguity expressed by the difference in controls: of being the deer or having a deer pet. |

| The difference really does make it seem like two different situations, so I can see why you are happy with the ambiguity. I'll have to see if I can find my joystick, I haven't used that in years. |

Greetings,
I was wondering if you could except mouse input only when the mouse button is pressed. I like to drive my deer around using WASD (can you tell I'm a mmorpg gamer? but since the view doesn't follow the deer's direction, I have to adjust the view with the mouse....and that changes the deers direction...and chaos ensues.
Thanks,
Rin |

The rotation lag after keyboard-controlled motion is something that will be fixed in a future release.
Meanwhile, have you tried the "Camera behind avatar" option in Options/Control? |

We have fixed this issue in the streaming client.
It's a bit difficult to release a patch for the official client now, because development is very much in between versions/phases. |

We reduced the lag time between releasing the keys and halting the influence of the mouse motion on the rotation of the deer. (I forgot why we had this lag time in the first place so I didn't want to remove it entirely until I remember. ) |
