Please download the
new version of The Endless Forest!
It contains several bug fixes and two major new features.
Deer appearance is now saved on the server and tied to your account.
So no matter where you are, you can always be yourself.
A ticket system for playing on a different server.
This means that we can do Abiogenesis Festivals again! For a small group of players who have a ticket.
Other changes
- This new version was compiled with the latest version of the Quest3D engine.
- This version also does not require the Bass sound engine any more.
- Pelt spells can now be cast on mini deer.
- Display of second generation pictograms was fixed (in both web-based viewer and in the game).
Known issues
- Anonymous deer might get a pictogram of others, often of you. We hope to fix this soon.
- On slow network connections, it might take a while for the other players to appear. We will investigate this further.
- Switching between windowed and full screen display may crash the game. Please restart the game instead of exiting the menu.
- Window size is only saved when you quit the game through the menu. |

We can cast pelt spells on mini deer now? Awesome!
I've announced this on the community site too, as not everyone who goes there, visits these forums. |

if you have the 3.31 verson and you want to download the 3.40 verson, do you have to get rid of the first one or will it just automadicly replace it/ update it? |

I'm fairly sure it updates it automatically.
If you do encounter problems, uninstall and reinstall. |

Installed!
Thanks ToT. ^^
Thought I'd mention though, this version seems to lag a lot more than usual especially when a few deer are on the screen. I drop by approximately 3fps for every deer - crowds are a nightmare! :O |

I had the same problem. It got so frustrating I decided to re-install version 3.31 while I wait for the problem to be resolved... |

Thank you for the information.
Wish we had found this during beta-testing.
We had issues with this but I thought we fixed them all. |
