I'd like to make a list of new features you'd like to see most in The Endless Forest. Especially the things that have been discussed on the forum.
From this list Auriea and I will choose some, think about their design and implementation and propose them to the community with a budget required for their production. Then it's up to you: you'll be able to make donations for specific features. When the required budget has been raised, Auriea and I will produce the feature and put it in the game. This way, you, the players, become our commissioners and we don't have to sit around for some museum or festival or arts funding. and best of all: you decide what goes into your game.
But let's start with the list.
Here's a few that I remember (in no particular order):
Waterfall
Special camera mode for photography
Friends list (to help you recognize whom you have played with before)
Extra dance moves to do while dancing (without interrupting the dance)
Ophelia (a magical figure who appears in the pond once in a while who can cast a spell on you)
Companion animal that follows you around (or sits on your back)
Game of tag (the player who is "it" changes into a Wolf)
Cave
Archeology (objects hidden here and there in the forest that can be dug up)
Playing music (multiple players play a song together)
Planting flowers
More ambient animals (rabbits, turtles, owls)
Magical creatures that can give special spell powers (Sadawaar, Baba Yaga, centaurs, etc)
Please post more. |

Temporary herds
(Are you going to edit these into your original list, or what?) |

No. I'll make a new post or web page with our selection. |

Can you point to a post about this or explain what you mean by this? |

Little hiding spots, like the space under one of the Big Rocks. (Similar to caves)
A tunnel? One that resembles a rabbit warren?
More flowers to put on our antlers (Besides purple and red ones)
A herd's/friend's list in-game? With online/offline indicator? Just using our Picto's OK.
More food, like berries from bushes and grass.
Ideas that I like:
Tag game, with wolf mask
Trails/Paths
Actions while laying down |

Custom deer plushes/merchandise.
(I think Veteran rewards was discussed somewhere, but to find the thread now would be difficult... I was thinking along the lines of, perhaps your pictogram becomes a certain colour after X months? Or you grow a stage older, your antlers and voice change to reflect age? Things like that. Nevermind though. ) |

What, like...a different color pictogram if a deer's someone you know? |

Well, we do plan to expand the idea of the life cycle. You grow from fawn to adult and then to old deer. This doesn't express how long you've been playing the game necessarily, since you can always restart. |

Well, that sounds about right. But the thing is, when deer are too far away, I can't even see their Pictos in the black border. So a list would do very well.
...
Then again, I'm beginning to think that the 'friends list/different coloured Picto' idea isn't all that good. Why? 'Cause by having our own friends, we'll be focusing more on the people that we know who're online (paying more attention to the 'list' or 'different coloured Pictos' instead of other deer running around). This may make some of us neglect the other 'unknown' deer, therefore leaving them out from our circles.
This is just a 'what if', of course. I don't know if there are such people around, since the Forest seems to be a mostly friendly place, and I haven't met anyone who's like that.
Moogie@ We're discussing that over here: http://tale-of-tales.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1316&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60

This is a good point. ^^ Though I wouldn't mind being able to choose a handful of pictos for any fawns I happen to pick up as "mine". |

Pardon? Ich verstehst das nicht. What do you mean by 'choose a handful of Pictos for any fawns I happen to pick up as yours'?
Side-note: D'ya think that Michael and Aureia (right spelling?) would make us more antler-able flowers? I would like having those pretty yellow cattail-like ones and the blue-berrish ones on my fawn-ish head .
