i came across this huge list of the Aesops Fables
http://www.bartleby.com/17/1/
As i read them i couldn't help but think that any or all would make an interesting starting point for gameplay. (if i get the chance i will expand upon why i think this is so.... but for now enjoy the link)
Imagine, so much "wisdom" in one game Laughing

Actually a LJ friend of mine, charbile, created a mini-game based loosely on aesop's fables -- I don't think it's up anywhere though, it was for an ohrrpgce create-a-game-in-48-hours contest.

Alright, I found it. You'll need to make two downloads:

and

http://hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/index.php/Downloads.html

Keep in mind they made it in onlly 48 hours, so it's not very polished. But I found it fun.

SIR GAWAIN AND THE GREEN KNIGHT, except from the point of view of the old crone/Lady Bertilac. That would be fun!
