I recently (as in two days ago) installed a new graphics card. All my other high-quality graphics games, such as Alice, Borderlands, and Sims 3, work fine. Yet when I boot up The Path, I get as far as selecting my Red Girl, the intro begins to play . . . and my entire CPU shuts down. Usually it takes a few minutes of unplug and replugging to get things going again.

It appears to be an electrical problem, yet I cannot imagine that the new card can pull enough power for a resource hog like Sims 3 but can't deal with a much smaller game like The Path (unless maybe my graphics card is just frightened). Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Hello,

If you were not issued with a disk, then the following is for you.
Each computer manufacturer has a special key you have to hit WHEN YOU POWER ON the computer.
HP and Compaq desktops/towers/laptops F11, E Machines and Gateway F11,
Sony PC/laptop F11, IBM and Lenovo towers and laptops all use F11 function key for system recovery.
Dell laptop use Ctr + F11
Acer and TRAVELMATE Laptop Alt + F10
Toshiba laptop F12

Best Regards,
