Being able to chat would greatly raise the games popularity for sure.
otherwise this game is really good.

so yeah my suggestion is a little chat box Smile

No.

There are specific reasons why this game does not have a chat feature- the exclusion is intentional. Particularly, one of the main points of the game is the focus on non-verbal communication between players: half the fun here is trying to get your point across using only the body-language the game allows you!

If you like chatting, there are plenty of other games and programs that allow you to do so, but this isn't one of them. Smile

I agree with Anduin.

But CuteShit is probably right that chat would make the game more popular. So this is a conscious choice not to be so popular! Smile

I also agree with Anduin. If we had chatting, it would just be your average game we see today and let's admit, that does get boring. The Endless Forest has it's own unique way to show just how much fun you can have without talking in a chat window.

As the saying goes, "Action speaks more than words."

Anyway, RuneScape (the only MMORPG I've ever frequented) is practically single-player even with a chat option. =/ 90% of conversations are about buying and selling; you may as well talk to an NPC - it would probably be easier.

first off the phrase is "Actions speak louder than words" but i agree the talking thing would make it easier to communicat but it would degrade the creativity of combining actions to express what you want

Eh, thought so. I knew there was something wrong when I typed it but too lazy to look it up.

i think having some more communative actions would be helpful so no chat would be needed. i have a HUGE problem communicating in-game. when i would like a coat i give some1 else a new coat as to hint i want one but they just leave! so perhaps some thing in michael's head could come up with the greatest solution, i know he can..... Laughing Surprised

The whole challenge of the game is trying communicate by actions. Try stamping your hooves at a sleeping deer and nodding, or other related actions. Someone is bound to get the clue.

So you don't want to buy a headset and you don't want to use the current emotes? You're just going to rely on Michael doing whatever you want?
