| If a man allows even a small deviation in his path, it will later become a major flaw. Reflect on this. |

| That's true. If only we could go back along that same path, and put things right. |

Agreed.
Though it's SO HARD to stick to what you know you should do...or I've always found that.
Hey, I should be going to bed right now, instead of being on this forum. I think that counts as a "minor deviation". |

it will cause a flaw.
but is the flaw bad?
is it a flaw at all?
you could say the voices in my head that have helped me survive this long are a flaw from being human.
but then that would mean its a flaw in survival instincts, which it is not.
flaw or gift?
word or fact? |

interesting concept. Though this quote was written before mental health even played a role in anything. If i had to make an educated guess about the inner workings of the mind, I wold say it does what it feels necessary to be able to survive. The problem arises when some ones mind thinks it is helping when in fact it is not.
diving deeper into this thought, what if you were actually unable to make the decisions you think you are choosing?
It is obvious that our mind is completely capable of functioning without "us" interfering. Whos to say that our actions were not already previously planed by our subconscious, later to come to realization in our conscious thought? |

you know I'm real because I respond to your thought.
But do you truly think? Or is it an illusion created by your mind to make you believe you are in control? |

thats impossible. for if i wasn't in control of MY thoughts then the brain would not need me. or i am the brain.
and i do not know about you. remember i hear (and stop times see) my voices. for all i know you just another sound comeing through the filter of my oddities. |

| This man is sadly mistaken. ;P Who says a deviation is bad? Sounds like he severely dislikes change and he uses this to justify "staying safe". |

this man was the greatest swordsman that ever lived
He was the definition of fluidity and insight for his time in the martial arts.
However , his views were a bit skewed from time to time another one of his quotes
"daughters are a worthless burden"
In the united states that quote would not go unpunished. But in china and japan *more china really* this quote is commonplace and many wouldn't even think twice about it.
Its interesting that all around the world we all have different views, look at each other, and go.. "whats wrong with those guys!?" |
