I always make Bonnan wind up looking like an idiot when he's trying to lead someone to a mushroom circle, but I can't find one. I usually just make him scout the area in zigzag lines until he gets impatient and goes to pout somewhere.

So, my question is, how do you find the circles? Is there one near a landmark? Do you go a certain direction? Any tips?

Surprised Thanks

The easiest one to find is on one of the borders of the new area. Run along the edge of the red and point the camera so you can see out into the green a little ways. There are two borders; once you've identified the loop and haven't found the circle cross the red to the other border and try again.

Once you're used to it you won't have to go through so much trouble, but for starters that's the only guaranteed way to find one.

You can also try going to sleeping deer; there's often somebody sleeping in a mushroom circle! Wink

(there's a circle near the twin gods and near the ruins too but I can't give directions because it's hard to explain the difference in trees and floor patterns XD)

Okay, that will work, thanks ^_^
The only part I'm puzzled about his that there are two borders. Wouldn't there only be one, since the forest is endless? But then, I only assumed on HOW the endlessness works, so I don't know XD But I'm just curious, anyways.

There's another one near the crying idol, and a small one near the big oak, so look around those areas. Also, if you're zoomed out those little mushrooms can be hard to see. I know I've run right past them many times. Try to keep your camera zoomed in and they're easier to see.

Ah okay, I'll look out for those, too. Thank you! And it's funny... if the camera is zoomed in too far, then you can't see a big enough area to see them, but if it's zoomed out too far, you can't see them Laughing

I've never had a problem with zooming out too far Embarassed

Tip: A 24" wide screen and a brand new graphic card make things easier; maybe I just can't relate to your situation? lol

----------MAP REMOVÉD TO PRESERVE MYSTERY--------

I spent a few minutes running around and marking the mushroom circles I found. I didn't spend long, though, so this map may not be complete. I'll add to it if I find more.

I don't think there are any in the version 3 forest.

Err...this is one of the issues mentioned when the map idea was initially brought up; people cheating by marking locations of important landmarks(such as mushroom circles) Sad

Well, mom and dad (irl) do always set some marks on their map of europe, if it's something they should remember where is.. :/

edit: And I'm not talking about where our cat is or something.. Razz

Well, I don't want to ruin the mystery of it, so I'll take the map down. I don't mean to spoil anyone's fun.

Thanks, rah-bop. A lot of the fun would be lost if everyone had a map to where they need to go. It takes time to learn the Forest Wink
