Apparently. Today somethingawful.com made us "Awful Link of the Day". This resulted in several thousands of extra hits on our website and many downloads and player registrations. I hope some of these lovers of awful things can be cured... I guess this a a test. |

| Bad publicity or not, I'm thankful they put you up as the ALOD. This is a great project and I can't wait for ABIOGENESIS! |

Thank you. We're quite pleased as well.
We don't really like how trendy being mean has become. It's funny to see how "contageous" opinions are in the web. When one site says something nice, others are quick to copy, not only the text, but also the opinion. And when they say "yikes", it gets copied as well. I must say that the positive evaluations of The Endless Forest (and there were many more of those than negative ones, just on smaller websites) do better at explaining why they like it than the negative ones do at why they dislike it. Constructive criticism would be useful (though praise is far more stimulating ) but instead they just say "OMG WTF how creepy how lame".
But despite their posing as cynics, many people have joined up since and some of them will probably stick.
I guess when the opinions are so divided, it means we have at least made something interesting. |

Wow, pretty old thread.
So SomethingAwful 'attacked' the Endless Forest before? Bummer, hope they leave us alone soon. |

I hope so too. Ever since someone made a comment about their disruptive calling in the Forest and a snide remark about pictos and "penis fawns" (sry, I didn't coin the term), everyone's been giving me the cold shoulder. Or the pointed end of their antlers, or whatever. After a nice beginning here, I'm starting to feel pretty miserable. Out of 12 deer on atm, one's a bird, the other 8 are sleeping, 2 stags are exchanging antlers and ignoring me, and I've just logged off. Even I ignored me.
And I'm still NOT changing my picto, it's a little human. |

Have you ever taken a glance at my picto? Upside-down stickman, as I call it. Not changing mine. I was actually in search of a stickman. |

| Don't worry, juliasin. It's probably just a coincidence. Try again later. |

| How dare they say such slanderous tripe about this extraordinary acomplishment! The Endless Forest is my personal choice for one of the two most inovatove, imaginative, and fascinating games yet created, and the other is only its euqal for seperate reasons. Had I a say I would never alow this to happen! |

...I'm one of those goons who checked it out on MMO Roulette. And I read about what they did. I found it quite amusing but I always found the game sounded interesting.
I've been in about 3 times usually very early in the morning before I go to work. Very interesting game. I enjoy it. I'll probably show up alot more so yes their negative publicity at least netted y'all one fan.

Apparently we are all furries. That seems to be the only real 'diss' that most people can come up with when they try to attack the people who play this game.
Daicon86 from Youtube wrote: This game sucked really bad. Only furries sit at home and play this kind of sh**.
