The Endless Forest game server is off line for maintenance. All connections to the game now happen via the backup server. It's possible that some features don't work properly. But you should be able to connect, log in and play.
Enjoy the misty night! |

Thanks for the weather change, it's beautiful
What exactly are you doing to the server, fixing something?
I get curious about these things... |

Question for people who aren't playing 3.41.
Will the weather still be around, even after the maintenance is done? Anyone with a game older than 3.41 can't connect to the game, and it would be a shame to miss the weather changes because of it. |

Why not just download 3.41 then? |

Well then have fun missing out on all the groovy weather
There is a backup server available for you, and the creators of TEF made 3.4 because they were against the whole sharing of spelldata or whatever. So you can't complain... :<
If you wanna' play, download 3.4 or just wait for the server to fix. The weather will probably be back to normal after it's fixed though lol.
Hate to sound harsh but so true. |

Ah Away, just because someone prefers to play on the older versions does not mean it's because he/she goes on a spell-data-give-away frenzy. It's against the rules.
I play on 3.31 the majority of the time because my laptop doesn't really have the qualifications to play TEF, so the newest version makes it much slower. Plus my antivirus doesn't like it Dx
The difference in play with 3.31 is only marginal, but I do get 1-2 more fps than I would with 3.4
You really do us old-version-players an injustice by assuming all we want to do is give away files. We don't want the game shut down any more than you |

Exactly. I don't give away spelldata willy-nilly, Away. I've only given spelldata away once, and it was because a friend lost all her data on 3.41, and decided to switch to 3.31.
I play 3.31 because I like to wear a multitude of sets from time to time. That, and I don't trust the server at all; there's already been a few people who lost all their data on 3.41, and had to start all over, or switched to 3.31. I prefer knowing that I have my data, and that it won't be gone when I log into the forest.
I find it rather condescending that you're basically accusing us 3.31 players of playing it simply so we can send data to one another. That's just not true at all.
Anyway, any word on this server maintenance? I still can't log into the Forest. |

Whaaaat the hell. I never said everyone who has that version goes on a spell-data sharing frenzy, you two are putting words into my mouth.
Quote: because they were against the whole sharing of spelldata or whatever.
That' wasn't even aimed at you? My whole point was not even focused on spelldata sharing anyway. My point is that you could in fact like I have, install both version of tef using Sluggs tutorial for help on how to install 2 games at once, and still play on the version the creators would prefer you to play on, and have very kindly created for you, instead of missing out on all the good weather and getting all upset like there's no tomorrow.
Seriously, my post meant no harm. But obviously you both mis-read what I wrote. Besides, this game wasn't even created for people to care about Spelldata. Just to have fun with your friends. |

Q_Q
Thanks but please don't make this any worse l o l
I said something nice but these two took it badly. This doesn't need to turn into some kind of stand-off so I'll just end it here shall I?
Sorry Michael. Kind of ruined your thread. /tip toes away/ |

| The Live Forest Map appears to have stopped working.. or at least, it worked for a little bit. And then stopped ? |

Away, I apologize for coming off the way I did. It was very uncordial of me to behave in that manner.
I get incredibly aggravated when someone tells me to switch over to the new game, or mentions anything about sharing spell data in a seemingly negative fashion. It's just not something I handle very well, particularly the first portion of my sentence; that is simply infuriating to me.
So again, I apologize for the way I came off. |
