Hi all,
Recently received an email from someone asking if I was using my account anymore and it reminded me that I hadn't installed the game since my last computer died a horrible death. Well, not that horrible, but... They mentioned that I had a first generation pictogram, and I was wondering what changed from gen 1 to 2 to whatever generation it's at now?
Obviously not a pressing issue, but if anyone knows and is willing to educate me, I'd appreciate it!
Thanks! |

The symbols that make up the pictograms is different. Each one is made up of 4 symbols, and after awhile, they ran out of unique combinations, so they had to come up with a new set of symbols.
The first set is first generation; the second set is second generation. |

Just was wondering, since the email made it sound like first gen/set pictograms were more desirable for some reason. Do the second gen ones look uglier or something? Or is it just a status symbol for some people? |

Control's doesn't look bad. Qix's looks like a pictogram that's saying "No people with unibrows."
I guess maybe some of the people I've seen on there with busier pictograms are second gen ones. I do like how mine's rather simple looking. |

Yeah, there are a few rare good ones in Gen 2, but I find they mostly seem to be "cluttered" messes D: |

When did they switch from gen 1 to gen 2, do you know?
I can't believe my account is over 5 years old! |

I keep getting these emails and messages as well.
It would be nice if people didn't continually make grabby hands for my pictogram... :( |

Seriously?
People are putting in random names, or names of old accounts and then tracking the owner to contact them for "CAN I HAS?" |

Probably? Must be, if they're randomly contacting people.
I doubt it's random though. They probably got the forum members list, sorted it by date. Lopped off any accounts that were created after the switchover to gen 2 icons. Possibly looked for latest posts on the forums for signs of activity, or maybe there's another place that shows last login... Then just dig around for email addresses? And send out a form letter or something. Dunno. |

I just got a similar message asking for my (first gen) account. Honestly, I had forgotten about this game, but now I'm downloading it again. I remember I enjoyed it quite a bit back when I played, though that was years ago. I wonder what it's like now? |

Geez people are retorting to picto begging now?
They sure aren't getting any of mine. >_> mostly because they all have the same password |D;
@Drakani: Skullmasks, Skullmasks everywhere. And there's A LOT more players inforest nowdays. As in average 30 to 50. |

Yeah, I didn't want to give mine away either. And the email reminded me to reinstall the game. But I assume that they must get some given back, since they're doing it.
It's interesting to come back and see my avatar have random pelts and masks on. I'm not very active and most of my time "online" in the forest is when the screensaver turns on. |

Lol XD it's like it's backfired on the beggars, their attempts are actually making the old users get back into the game. Nulling their chances of getting a Gen 1 picto. |
