Hello,
We've setup a page where you can contribute to the continued growth and maintenance of The Endless Forest.
http://tale-of-tales.com/TheEndlessForest/donate.html
(or when at the site choose the Donate link in the sidebar)
There you can choose to give a one time donation in the amount of your choosing or give us your sustained support by selecting to subscribe at any of the listed amounts.
Needless to say, your contributions will enable Michael and I and the whole Tale of Tales team to work on the game and community more often and bring more of your Forest wishes to life.
all the best,
Auriea. |

Ooo that's amazing!
I really really like the monthly donation system, and in such reasonable amounts. Once I get a reliable income I'll be able to donate! |

Wonderful idea! And I do agree, thank you for putting some reasonable donation amounts for those of us who can't afford a fortune but still want to help out. |

I am donating a portion of all money I make off of endless forest commissions.
It may be a free game but it is a unique experience. I love it and want to see it flourish.
Thank you for making a one of a kind game for us to enjoy. |

Thank you!
It is thanks to these donations that we can do the update to version 3.4 that we're currently working on. |

I didn't want to make a big deal out donating, so I didn't say anything. However, graduate school has taken too much time away from me to be able to make enough merchandise for Project Greenleaf.
I started a job this semester, so I'll be able to start donating again (provided that my supervisor doesn't shaft me on my pay). |

I know you have a donation button, but here is a cool new donation community: http://flattr.com/ The way it works is that people pay into a Flattr account, set a monthly donation limit, and spend that donation limit by clicking on Flattr icons on websites they want to donate to (if no websites are selected, the money goes to a charity chosen by Flattr).
So, my suggestion is that TOT add a Flattr button to it's arsenal of revenue generators.
The Flattr button is in Javascript. I loathe Javascript. But there is probably a work-around that makes the Flattr button functional, or at least detectable, while Javascript is off or blocked. See http://forum.flattr.net/showthread.php?tid=84&highlight=noscript The first reply on the second page has a link to a page where the Flattr button is both visible and apparently functional with Javascript disabled.
Where to put the Flattr button? Top page of forum? Top page of TEF Community thing? Somewhere with a lot of repeat traffic from users. |

Any chance of a "progress bar" being put up to see how much the community has donated so far?
I admit I'm a sucker for them, and people would probably be more likely (like myself) to donate if we can see how far our donations have gone to help the cause. Like set a monthly goal for us to reach and at the end of each day, update the bar or something similar. |
