You know, when I suddenly found out about "8" I was really positively suprised, but now I see, that work has been stopped.
I would like you to suggest to contact a company from my country (Poland) called "City Interactive", they are known to buy licenses for strange games, and they often have some new, and cheap games that sell in medium qouantities, but for number of titles in one year they are largest company in my country. Try to contact them, maybe they will help you, if someone will then it would probally be them, cause they aren`t as strict as othr companies that distribute games.

And if you have something to help you with game I would really be happy to work with you. But from my home only, cause I`m unluckilly only 16 so I can not work (I think) normally. I`m very talented as a level designer, I have often some good (but often strange) ideas, I`m also quite good at scripting. I would also be very happy to be a Beta-Tester of this game, cause I see great potential in it.

Thanks for the tip! Smile

And when we ever get around to working on 8, perhaps you will be old enough! Wink

This is horrible, people. Besides The Path, 8 appears to be the best ToT project in my opinion. Michael, Auriea, if there is anything fans and gamers of ToT can do to help get this project started again, I think most of us, including myself, would be glad to oblidge!

There is one thing: buy The Path! Smile

Seriously, if The Path turned out to be a successful project, it would become a lot more feasible to work on 8! Not only will investors find us more interesting, but 8 is also closely related to The Path (featuring the same character and also based on a fairy tale).

It's sad to hear about this being put on hold... Maybe it's just me but this actually looked more interesting than The Path, maybe because I don't do well with horror Sad . I really hope you can get enough funding to take this project off hold... Confused I really like your style of games by the way, thank god for Shojo Beat, otherwise I probally never would have found out about you guys... Embarassed & now I'm just rambling, good luck!

Hello!

This is my first time posting. (they say the first is always the hardest...) I wanted to share an idea for finding funding for 8 or any other projects that your team is currently working on. It's a new website called Kickstarter and it helps with funding ideas and projects like yours.

http://www.kickstarter.com

Please at least check it out and see if it is something that you can utilize. Good Luck!

Kickstarter looks interesting. But I hear it's only for US companies. We're in Belgium.

We will not be making "8" any time soon. But we will start prototyping a new game based on the 8 universe. And Mac is included in those plans for now.

I know this was posted years ago, but when I went to look at Kickstarter, I'm now seeing projects based in Belgium.

Would you ever consider looking into this as a potential source of funding? Some projects do get successfully funded this way.

The plus for people who consider donating is that they get their money back if funding isn't achieved. But, they get special privileges/items/name in credits, etc. if funding is achieved.

Yes, this is definitely something we are looking into. But for now, we are working on the new version of 8 on our own strength (slowly, in the background).
