Hello! Do you know what is pixel-art? This name defines a artistic style of computer-graphics based in the old school games, before the 3D. The pixel art graphics looks like from a Amiga500 or arcade machine classic game, but many times it's quality is much higher than the graphics from the games that we enjoy in our childhood, early 90s... It remains as well some kind of Lego toys, isnt?
This is a "back to the basics", so some artist refuse powerful programs like Photoshop, and choose to use very basic ones, like Windows Paint. The technique consist in create pictures "pixel by pixel", magnifying the picture and many times working in detail in almost every single pixel...
Well, enough talk, let's see some art.
This is from eboy, masters of pixel art. I met this guys in a art gallery in London. But I am affraid that I was so drunk that I spoke just rubbish...

Oh eboy, I know them! They did the cover to Freakonomics, didn't they? You have no idea how long I've spent staring at that cover... |
