Plus it's been reduced by 10% in a sale up until March 29 as well. Dang, could have saved me 73 pence! (And put it towards the USB edition. Razz )

Really?! YES! As much as I am wary of the controversy, I can't help but think that it drew people to the game even as it drove others away.

Either way, that's pretty epic. Very Happy

Congratulations!
I bought my copy direct, but I'm happy to have shelled out an additional dollar or so! I'll be a little sad if it truly does get Steam Achievements, though.
So, is it Steam or the developer that decides whether a game has a Steam forum or not? I'm sure one for The Path would be pretty, uh ... wacky?

Can't you mount games you didn't buy on Steam into the Steam client, so you can still use the community and things?

I've definitely seen that functionality on my own Steam, though I haven't actually used it yet.

You can definitely use the community stuff, but if ever steamwork achievements are added, they won't work.

This varies by the game, some allow that, some don't. I know that Aquaria (another indie game) doesn't allow that. For it to work you basically need to use the same keys for all versions of the game and enter that key into Steam, but sometimes different versions of a game use a different DRM system.

I bought it on Steam just to see it next to all the other games I own there, and to perhaps encourage Steam to start selling more indie games and more experimental games.

If you select 'Add Non Steam Game' at the bottom of your game list while in the steam client, you can then search your folders to add the game you want. 9/10 this will allow the ingame chat and community functions if the gfx driver allows it.
